EUROPE HRC WRAP: Domestic prices recover in north on still-tight supply

Domestic prices for steel hot-rolled coil in Northern Europe started to move up at the end of the week to Friday February 12, supported by good order books at domestic producers and solid demand.

Fastmarkets calculated its daily steel hot-rolled coil index, domestic, exw Northern Europe, at ?,?720.00 ($872.58) per tonne on Friday, up by ?,?10 per tonne week on week and up by ?,?32 per tonne month on month.
The calculation of Friday's index was based on achievable prices and transactions heard at ?,?710-730 per tonne ex-works.
Official offers were reported at ?,?730-750 per tonne ex-works in Northern Europe.
