daily steel hot-rolled coil index, domestic, exw Northern Europe at ?,?491.03 ($575.24) per tonne on Friday October 2, up by ?,?3.01 per tonne week on week and ?,?34.68 per tonne month on month.
Friday's index was based on achievable prices and offers heard at ?,?490-500 per tonne, bids reported at ?,?480-490 per tonne and the latest deals at ?,?490 per tonne.
