EUROPE SECTIONS: Market remains flat on slow trading

Prices for steel hollow sections in Europe remained unchanged on Wednesday August 11 with the market moving through a seasonally slower period of trading, sources told Fastmarkets.

Fastmarkets' price assessment for steel sections (medium) domestic, delivered Northern Europe was ?,?1,400-1,430 ($1,642-1,677) per tonne on Wednesday, unchanged week on week.

"Prices remain above ?,?1,400 per tonne, but due to the [long] lead times they will be relatively stable until demand returns...
