RAPAPORT... Mountain Province has added three industry veterans to itsboard, including William Lamb, the former head of Lucara Diamond Corp., it saidMonday. Lamb has more than 25 years of experience in miningoperations and project development. He served as CEO of Lucara for seven years,prior to his retirement in 2018. Tom Peregoodoff, the CEO of gold and copperexploration company Kaizen Discovery, will also join the board. Previously, hewas CEO of exploration company Peregrine Diamonds, which De Beers purchased for$80.6 million last year. Additionally, Brett Desmond, senior vice president ofcorporate development for Daon, a software assurance company, will take a spoton the board. He has spent 20 years in the banking, corporate-finance and asset-managementindustries. Desmond is the son of Dermot Desmond, a major Mountain Province shareholder, who requested his nomination to the board. "These changes demonstrate the board's commitment to thelong-term success of the company, and the experience and expertise of the newboard members in various aspects of our business will ensure that we continueto maximize the value of our quality assets," said Jonathan Comerford, chairmanof Mountain Province.
