Explorer Discovers High-Grade Silver Near Surface at Idaho Property

Bunker Hill Mining Corp. reported that it intercepted near-surface mineralization of 1,206 g/t silver equivalent at the UTZ area of its Bunker Hill Mine.

Bunker Hill Mining Corp. (BNKR:CSE; BHLL:OTCMKTS) reported in a news release, that "it has intercepted high grade silver mineralization in the UTZ area of the Bunker Hill Mine, with a silver equivalent grade of 1,206 g/t Ag eq."

The company pointed out that the core sample was collected near surface from an area of the property located close to existing infrastructure. Bunker Hill Mining noted that the area is part of a larger zone of mineralization that historically was not thought to contain high-grade silver.

Bunker Hill indicated that in Hole 7056 from a depth starting at 54.6 meters from surface a 1.2 meter drill area intercepted 0.46 meters of 1,205.6 g/t silver equivalent, consisting of 1,195 g/t silver, 0.3% lead and 0.1% zinc. A separate section from the same hole returned 0.9 meters of 604 g/t silver equivalent, which consisted of 562 g/t silver, 1.2% lead and 0.1% zinc.

The firm's CEO Sam Ash remarked, "The presence of high-grade silver in the upper areas of the Bunker Hill Mine is very encouraging. Furthermore, it is within the PEA study area and has the potential to be mined within Phase 1 of our restart program, which could allow us to immediately crystallize the value. Analysis is underway to follow up and further explore for nearby high-grade silver mineralization."

The company advised that the Bunker Hill Mine's Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA), which is being performed in order to assess the rapid restart program, is still on schedule to be completed in early Q2/21.
