Explorer Discovers New Mineralized Zone at Quebec Gold-Silver Project

This zone is in addition to the Beyan Gold Zone discovery Troilus Gold announced at the end of September.

Troilus Gold Corp. (TLG:TSX; CHXMF:OTCQB) discovered another zone of mineralization, Goldfield, at its Troilus project in Quebec, the company announced in a news release. The zone is 28 km southwest of the recently announced Beyan Gold Zone discovery.

Highlights of the Goldfield zone results include grab sample grades in outcrop of up to 26.2 grams per ton gold (26.2 g/t Au) and 27.8 g/t silver (Ag). Other significant samples returned 6.51 g/t Au, 5.96 g/t Au, 4.31 g/t Au along with 14 g/t Ag and 8.6 g/t Ag. The current strike length of the Goldfield zone is about 4 kilometers.

The summer drill program "focused on identifying high priority targets within the extensive land package Troilus acquired and staked earlier in the year," the company noted.

"The Goldfield zone results, combined with the recent Beyan zone results, suggest that gold mineralization within the Fr?tet-Evans Greenstone Belt is prolific and not constrained geographically as historically thought," CEO Justin Reid said in the release. "These showings could just be the beginning of what the district could host."

Of the areas that Troilus Gold has explored on its Troilus-Fr?tet property, Goldfield is the furthest away from the main mineralized areas. It is on the western side of the acreage, 36 km from the past-producing Troilus mine.
