Explorer Restarts, Expands Drilling at Timmins Camp Project

HighGold Mining plans to drill 3,500 meters at Munro-Croesus.

HighGold Mining Inc. (HIGH:TSX.V; HGGOF:OTCQX) restarted drilling that had been suspended in mid-March due to COVID-19 at its Munro-Croesus property in Ontario's Timmins Camp, it announced in a news release.

The Vancouver-headquartered company noted that it will continue its original program but also expand it, ultimately drilling 3,500 meters (3,500m) there. Added targets include several vein prospects outside of the historical Croesus mine area. The explorer identified these targets through its recently completed mechanical stripping, power washing and channel sampling of gold-bearing quartz vein systems after carrying out a prospecting and mapping program.

Highlight assays from drilling that was done before the campaign was put on hold include 11.24 grams per ton gold (11.24 g/t Au) over 1.855m, 17.05 g/t Au over 0.8m and 8.42 g/t Au over 1.5m.

Also, HighGold Mining recently expanded, through staking and acquisitions, its Munro-Croesus land package to five times the size, taking it to a total of 1,968 hectares.

"The acquisitions have consolidated a previously fragmented and underexplored package of highly prospective ground within the influence of the Pipestone Break, a regional fault system that is host to gold deposits throughout the Timmins Gold Camp," the release noted.
