FeTi's rise halted in US, but supply still lacking

Ferro-titanium's price rise in the United States has halted after six weeks of increases, although prices continued to gain in Europe this past week.

Both markets rose on the same supply shortage, for ferro-titanium and especially for the scrap from which it is entirely made. Additionally, meanwhile, demand from steel consumers improved.
With the historic scrap shortage worsening, some sellers to the US market said the alloy price inevitably will rise, but for now, both ferro-titanium sellers and buyers agreed that they are at an impasse.

A further curb on the US price may have come from the resumption...
