RAPAPORT... Firestone Diamonds has appointed industry veteran Paul Bosmato succeed Stuart Brown as CEO from July 1, the company said Monday. Bosma (pictured) - who worked for De Beers for 14 years - joinedFirestone as mineral-resources manager in 2014, and was promoted to generalmanager of its Liqhobong mine in Lesotho in 2016. His responsibilities haveincluded overseeing the asset's ramp-up tocommercial production, as well as day-to-day management of site operations. "The board, in its succession planning, has been impressedwith Paul's role as general manager of Liqhobong, while his significantexperience in the diamond sector, as well as a deep understanding of capitalmarkets, make him the ideal candidate to become the new CEO," said LucioGenovese, Firestone's non-executive chairman. Brown, who has been CEO for five years, will leavethe company on June 30, with Bosma taking over the following day.
