Frederick Goldman Launches New Synthetics Facility

RAPAPORT... Frederick Goldman has opened a lab-grown manufacturing center inMexico as part of its new jewelry supply business.  Jewelry SolutionsGroup manufactures custom diamond jewelry and engagement rings, delivered to customer within a week. The venture is comprised of two units, an existing facility for natural-diamond jewelry, and a separate site for lab-grown pieces, both in Mexico. Retailers can order jewelry made with either natural or lab-grown diamonds. John Orrico, chief operating officer of Frederick Goldman, will oversee the entire venture."We found that the market has a need for fast, on-demand solutions that are not typically offered by suppliers," Frederick Goldman CEO Jonathan Goldman said last week. The jewelry manufacturer purchased lab-grown-diamond brand Love Earth in March, and will debut its new collection in June.  Image: The new Jewelry Solutions Group lab-grown-diamond facility.
