Gambling Addict's Wife "Discovers her Jewels are all Fake"

(IDEX Online) - A woman reportedly agreed to sell every piece in her jewelry collection to pay her husband's gambling debts - only to discover that all but one were fake.She says he showered her with valuable gifts, including a Rolex watch, during their 25-year marriage, according to a report in the Israeli newspaper Maariv.But she claims that when she took them to be valued, the jeweler said the entire collection was counterfeit - with the exception of one ring - and virtually worthless.  However, the husband insists all the items were genuine, and he accuses his wife of handing over fakes for appraisal.He admitted his online gambling addiction had led him to borrow heavily.The couple, who have not been named, are divorcing. The husband's attorney said a police investigation was inevitable.
