German crude steel production falls 10.4% in February, WV Stahl says

Crude steel output in Germany dropped by 10.4% year on year in February 2021 after four consecutive months of recovery, German steel federation WV Stahl said on Monday March 22.

German crude steel production totaled more than 3.09 million tonnes in February, down from 3.46 million tonnes in the corresponding period of 2020.
"The cautious upward trend of the past few months has ended. The recovery of the steel industry in Germany remains at risk," WV Stahl said.
