German crude steel production up 6% in January, WV Stahl says

Crude steel output in Germany moved up by 6.0% year-on-year in January 2021, marking the fourth consecutive month of growth, German steel federation WV Stahl said on Friday February 19.

In the first month of 2021, German crude steel production totaled 3.31 million tonnes, up from 3.12 million tonnes in the corresponding period of 2020.
"This means that production has reached the average level of 2019, but it still remained at a relatively low level," WV Stahl said.
