GIA Adds Two New Board Members

(IDEX Online) - GIA (Gemological Institute of America) has welcomed two new members to its Board of Governors. They are Dr. Jeffrey Post and Tammy Storino.

Dr. Post is a research geologist at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History and is also the curator-in-charge of the museum's National Gem and Mineral Collection.

He has also served as chairman of the department of mineral sciences and lead curator for the renovation of the geology, gems and minerals exhibit. 

Storino is a finance and operations executive with experience in global consumer brands. Her career spans more than 25 years with companies such as Walt Disney in California and Hong Kong, St. John Knits International Inc. and Too Faced Cosmetics. 

The GIA also announced that board member Thomas Yang, managing director and partner at PrimeGenesis, had completed his term with nine years of service and would be leaving the board.
