Glencore Canada in MoU with Canada Nickel at Kidd operations

Canada Nickel Co has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Glencore Canada to examine the potential treatment and processing of future nickel and cobalt production from Glencore's Kidd concentrator and metallurgical site in Timmins, Ontario.

Canada Nickel, which is developing nickel-cobalt projects to deliver metals for the electric vehicles and stainless steel markets, completed an initial high-level assessment ahead of the MoU.
A detailed study, expected to be completed by the end of March, will now look at the possibility of Canada Nickel milling and further processing nickel-cobalt and magnetite concentrates from its wholly-owned Crawford nickel-cobalt sulfide project, 40km north of Glencore's operations.
