Glencore, Century to supply 'green' Natur-Al aluminium to HAI

Glencore and Century Aluminum Co have agreed a deal for the sale of 150,000 tonnes of Natur-Al brand aluminium to Austria-based Hammerer Aluminium Industries (HAI).

Glencore will supply the aluminium to HAI over five years, Glencore said in a press release on Thursday February 4.
Natur-Al products are made using energy from 100% renewable sources at Century's Nor??ur??l Grundartangi aluminum plant in Iceland.
"Each of us has a role to play in the energy and mobility transition. At Glencore over half the aluminium we supply is low-carbon, a key element in our ambition to be net zero by 2050," Robin Scheiner, Glencore's head of alumina and aluminium, said.
