GLOBAL CHROME WRAP: China's imported ore, alloy prices drop; UG2 standoff continues

Charge chrome and ferro-chrome prices weakened in China last week amid poor demand and a protracted standoff in the ore market.

Metal Bulletin's charge chrome index, cif Shanghai, dropped to $0.93 per lb on Friday from $0.95 per lb a week earlier. The index has dropped nearly every week since peaking at 99 cents per lb on June 22. "The party is now over; business has hit a wall," one market source told Metal Bulletin.
