Global crude steel output jumps up by 6% in May - Worldsteel

Global crude steel production rose 6.6% year on year in May 2018, partly due to an increase in China, according to statistics published by the World Steel Association (Worldsteel) on Monday June 25.

World crude steel output was 154.86 million tonnes in May this year, compared with 145.24 million tonnes in the corresponding month of 2017. China, the world's largest steelmaking country, increased its crude steel output by 8.9% from last year...
