NEW YORK, March 5 (Reuters) - Oil prices rallied on Mondayand stocks across the globe also rose as investors saw tariffthreats as a U.S. negotiating tactic and not a done deal, whileconcern ebbed over an inconclusive Italian election.

The Japanese yen weakened 0.44 percent versus the greenbackat 106.22 per dollar, while Sterling GBP= was last trading at$1.3831, up 0.21 percent on the day.

The Mexican peso lost 0.28 percent versus the U.S. dollar at18.85 and the Canadian dollar was down 0.88 percent against thegreenback at 1.30 per dollar.

Crude prices rose on forecasts for robust oil demand growthand concerns OPEC will not be able to increase its productioncapacity. crude CLcv1 rose 2.27 percent to $62.64 per barreland Brent LCOcv1 was last at $65.60, up 1.91 percent on theday.

The 30-year bond US30YT=RR last fell 13/32 in price toyield 3.1522 percent, from 3.132 percent late on Friday.

Spot gold XAU= dropped 0.2 percent to $1,319.30 an ounce.U.S. gold futures GCcv1 fell 0.25 percent to $1,320.10 anounce.

Copper CMCU3 rose 0.39 percent to $6,925.00 a tonne.
