Global stainless steel output up 9.5% in Q1 2018, ISSF says

Global crude stainless steel production totaled 12.77 million tonnes in the first quarter of 2018, according to figures released by the International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) on Tuesday July 10.

This was up by 9.5% year-on-year from the revised figure of 11.66 million tonnes produced in the first quarter of 2017.Stainless steel production in Russia, Brazil, South Korea, South Africa and Indonesia totaled 1.44 million tonnes in January-March 2018, up sharply from 845,000 tonnes in the corresponding period in 2017.Production...
