In the United States, spot demand for zinc is improving after months of thin demand, market participants said.
"Demand has been slowly improving the past few months," a zinc trader said, adding that "We're not quite back to pre-Covid sales levels, but definitely moving closer...[the spot zinc market is] definitely improving."
"We've had more inquiries in the last two weeks than we've had all summer," the same trader told Fastmarkets. "I believe this is related to inventory stocking. Customers are realizing that it may be time to replenish their stocks of zinc finished product."
