God on Guns, and Death

By Jason Hommel / February 01, 2013 / silverstockreport.com / Article Link

This month, the nation is focused on guns. If you can't defend your life, or your silver, then there is a problem. Here are a few of my God inspired, Biblically based, thoughts.

It is a God given right, and a natural right to own, and use, guns for self defense. Here are a few supporting verses, but there are plenty more.

[Mat 10:34] Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

[Luke 22:36] Then said He unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

[Luke 22:38] And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

[Luke 22:49] When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?

[John 18:10] Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.

[John 18:11] Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

[Mat 26:52] Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

Spiders have poison bites.Snakes have poisonous fangs.Tigers and Lions have claws and fangs.Bees and Scorpions have stingers.

God made it so that animals can defend themselves, and/or attack other things to eat them.

God given rights, and natural rights, are higher rights than Constitutional rights. What the constitution giveth, the constitution can take away. But nobody can take away God given and natural rights, without evil and oppression and upsetting God's natural order of things, and they that try, risk and ask to bring death upon themselves if they try.

Now, some people will say I'm taking scripture out of context there, and I know that they have their own interpretation. I'll get to that. I know.

But did you know that for everything Jesus said, there are at least two opinions, the wrong one for the world, and the right one that the followers of Jesus will know?

See, Jesus spoke in parables, on purpose, to hide understanding from the wicked.

Mat 13:10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? Mat 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

Mat 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

John 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Consider that last one. The light shines, and they cannot understand it. That means that no matter how hard we try, no matter how much logic we bring to the table, no matter what facts we share, no matter how much lives are proven to be saved from our point of view, it will not convince the wicked who are hell bent on killing as many people as they can to "save" humanity from the "evil danger" of overpopulation. Anytime you see anyone worried about or warning about overpopulation, you can know they have been deceived by pure evil. Get away from that person as quickly as possible.

Even more interesting, is that the wrong views are often in the Churches! It took me a longer time to learn this mystery, and longer still to grasp the purpose of it.

1 Corinthians 11:19 For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.

Evil exists so that we who are of the light can be seen more clearly by way of contrast! Wow! What a thought! So with that background, use your discernment and judgment on what follows.

I will confidently now say that it's the evil people who must say that Jesus did not want his followers to be armed, even though Jesus told them to buy swords. It's evil people whose interpretation requires Jesus to be deceiving to his own disciples, so he could "teach them a lesson" that supposedly they did not need swords. It's the evil view that has Jesus having his disciples owning arms, and not using them, purely for the purpose of "bluffing, which is lying", or for the purpose of showing why they did not need them.

But note, Jesus did not tell his disciples to throw away their swords, nor sell them, but rather, he told them to put it back into its place. In other words, "holster it".

"Put up again thy sword into his place"

And right after that, Jesus spoke the reason why they are to be armed:

"for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword."

See, here's now how evil must interpret that, and twists that phrase to read:

Remember, evil twists things, as Peter notes about how evil people twisted the words of Paul:

[2 Peter 3:16] As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Evil reads the words of Jesus and insert their own bias such as the following: "anyone (a evil citizen) who dares to be armed (for selfish self defense), is to be killed by a gun (by good government)."

Good people read those words of Jesus and know how to insert their own valid righteous understanding: "all they that take the sword (such as a corrupt governments, or thieves, or rapists, or deranged killers), shall perish with the sword (such as may be wielded by those who are more righteous and who have the right to defend themselves from tyranny, oppression, thievery, or rapes, so as to preserve and encourage life and freedom).

See, you basically have to be a worshiper of Government, and believe that Jesus was a liar and a deceiver, in order to support gun control. The righteous view, on the other hand has Jesus saying true and natural things, and views Jesus as the "King of Kings".

See, the result of evil is gun control, which leads to "their own destruction", and the fruit of which is the mass murders of over 100 million people who were disarmed and then slaughtered by their own governments in the last 100 years alone.

The result of good is America, with the freedom to own guns to defend life, and prevent mass slaughter by a rogue government that may get taken over by a military coup, or be overthrown by religious nut cases.

There are pacifists. I can respect their right to not defend themselves; as it only harms them; and they would reap the fruit of their own wrong way, as it should be. But they ought not to inflict, with violence and government force, and death, their views on the rest of the people who do believe in the right to defend not only themselves, but also their own families and innocent children who are too young to own guns for their own protection.

The utter hypocrisy of gun control advocates, is that their view requires a government with guns, using guns, to use force, to even kill, to take away the guns of citizens.

Literally, gun control advocates would be happy to slaughter tens of millions of Americans in a civil war on guns, merely to maybe save the lives of 20 kids. It's insane, and pure evil. What really kills people is the gun free zones, which makes it nearly impossible to stop killers after they kill one or two people.

Let me refute another argument against guns.

There is a dangerous argument for gun control that says that when the first amendment was written, it was during a time when there were only muskets, and therefore, it should not apply to semi automatic weapons, and therefore reasonable restrictions on guns should be allowed. People also use this same type of argument to claim that the Biblical text can only apply to swords, and not guns.

This is false reasoning. First of all, I hope you caught it, I already refuted this by saying that the right to own guns is not from the Constitution, but it's from God, and it's a natural right.

Second, if we followed that false logic, then freedom of speech should not apply to the internet, but only to books and pamphlets printed on a Gutenberg printing press, which, of course, is ridiculous.

But my next point is stronger, and is a good concluding rebuttal. As Judge Andrew Napolitano recently pointed out:

"The historical reality of the Second Amendment's protection of the right to keep and bear arms is not that it protects the right to shoot deer. It protects the right to shoot tyrants, and it protects the right to shoot at them effectively, with the same instruments they would use upon us."

This means that the people should be able to own fully automatic guns, with unlimited clips, magazines, or those bullets connected in long straps, in my opinion. After all, those are antiquated weapons, used in World War I, nearly 100 years ago now. The people should be able to arm themselves with weapons that are far superior to that, and up to date. I'll let you ponder that one.

Note, as I was composing this letter, WND came out with an editorial saying that the people should be free to own machine guns.

http://www.wnd.com/2013/01/time-to-roll-back-all-gun-bans/

The revolutionary war was fought and won because free people owned cannons, yes, cannons, that they brought to the battlefields, and because free people owned multiple cannons that they were able to mount on ships, and take to sea, using the Letter of Marque and Reprisal to fight the British, on their own, and keep most of the spoils of war for themselves.

Ok, I've heard the shrill protests that ignore the point of discussion, and move on to some other issue, after I make an irrefutable point like that.

"But Jason, guns are used to KIIIIILLLLLLL people!!!! How unChristian!!

Yes, guns are used to kill, or "cause death". I get that.

This brings me to the death penalty. But before I get there, let's talk about freedom again.

I consider myself to be a very strong believer in the benefits of freedom. For me, freedom is next to Godliness.

2 Corinthians 3:17Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

But I've learned that freedom is just not suitable for everyone, because many people abuse it, and many people just don't have the Spirit of the Lord, and for them, they are not only slaves to sin, but we, as a society have decided that we must put them in prison.

But why prison? Is that what God said to do? No. There are no prison sentences in the Bible. Instead, in the Bible, there is restitution, and the death penalty, but there is no prison. Well, Paul and John the Baptist were thrown in prison, but there is no Levitical command to imprison people for crimes. Saying that they were in prison, to imply prisons are good, would be taking scripture out of context.

As much as I love Ron Paul, I believe Ron Paul is wrong on the issue of the Death Penalty, as Ron Paul has said the government should not be engaged in it. But that's just about the only valid role that Government has, according to the Bible.

[Rom 13:3] For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:[Rom 13:4] For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

Originally, way back in 1 Samuel 8, the reason people wanted a king, who would oppress them with high taxes, was to fight their battles for them; in other words, kill their enemies. And that's what government is, threats and force to kill. That's all they can really do. The expansion of government and laws are simply more threats to fine, imprison, or ultimately kill people if they don't comply with numerous regulations.

Why should society be burdened with incarcerating people at such a high cost that is supposedly rivals that of a college education every year?

http://www.lao.ca.gov/laoapp/laomenus/sections/crim_justice/6_cj_inmatecost.aspx?catid=3

It costs $47,102 per year to imprison someone each year in California.

One of the arguments against the death penalty is that executing it costs more than the cost to incarcerate someone for life.

But why does the death penalty cost so much? Throwing stones should cost nothing. It's less than the cost of a fifty cent bullet, since stones can be re-used! In my opinion, the reason the death penalty is not carried out, as God intended, is because we, as a culture, are not righteous enough to believe that God's ways are best.

Apparently, we are arrogant enough to think that bankrupting the nation, and enslaving our children into debt repayments for these incarceration costs, is morally superior.

Quick math check: 3 million prisoners in the USA x $47,000 = $141 billion per year. Not an insubstantial sum.

Particularly given the fact that the entire world silver market is only about 700 million oz. of production per year, x $31/oz. = $22 billion per year.

I think the real reason that America has a paranoia about Guns, or why the Godless Liberals in charge have such a paranoia, is that they are paranoid about judgment and death, because they have no trust in God, and no trust in God's ways, and no trust in the resurrection to eternal life at the rapture.

In my experience, unGodly people fear being judged by God, as scripture says:

Hebrews 10:26-27 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.

See, evil people will be "consumed". Killed. And they expect it, know it, and fear it, in an all consuming way.

Justifiable Homicide is not a crime. It's justice. This means that killing is not always bad, but can sometimes, under certain specific circumstances, be good.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justifiable_homicide

Remember, God brought the flood on an evil and wicked world in the time of Noah. We modern people tend to forget this, one of the first of the Bible stories, that even kids should learn.

These days, I have to find the humor in the Godless Liberal view that wants to ban the death penalty. Really? I'm tempted to mocklingly ask:

"Do you mean to say that if you pass a law, then we will all be allowed to live forever? Because we are all suffering under God's decreed death penalty of inherited sin from Adam and Eve, which caused all of mankind to die before the age of 1000. And then, all of mankind are also suffering under a second death penalty that was instituted after the time of Noah which limited the time of man's life on earth to about 120 years, because man was so wicked."

The only cure for these death penalties is to put our faith and trust in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

1John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Mat 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

Thanks for reading to the end today, I know this was long. While you ponder these things, and while the truth may be upsetting and ruinous to your previous worldview, consider buying silver. protect your wealth. It's also a God given natural right to protect your wealth and yourself from the ravages of out of control government spending that leads to inflation and the devaluation of your dollars.
