Drill results show this system, in the Blueberry zone of Scottie Resources' namesake property, remains open along strike and at depth.
In a news release, Scottie Resources Corp. (SCOT:TSX.V) announced that new drill results from the Blueberry zone at its Scottie project in British Columbia returned high-grade gold-silver mineralization and confirmed the existence of a north to south-oriented mineralized system there.
"The Blueberry Zone continues to yield strong intercepts along the newly defined N-S trend. Now that we have got a handle on the geometry of the system, drilling in 2021 will focus on increasing the vertical and lateral extent of this zone. The road accessible, near surface mineralization present at the Blueberry zone complements the high-grade mineralization we continue to discover around the Scottie Gold Mine, located just 2 kilometers to the southwest," CEO Bradley Rourke said in the release.
Newly reported drill results are from five Blueberry holes. Gold intercepts included 10.2 grams per ton (10.2 g/t) gold over 3.21 meters (3.21m) and 1.31 g/t gold over 22.13m. Hole SR20-55 returned 0.78m of 47.9 g/t gold and 19.1 g/t silver.
Now, the Blueberry zone has a strike length of about 800 meters and remains open along strike and at depth. As such, this year, Scottie Resources plans to concentrate on extending Blueberry vertically and laterally. Work will encompass trenching and an induced polarization survey to further delineate drill targets in the area, followed by drill testing.
