Both appointees have years of experience in the field.
Gatling Exploration Inc. (GTR:TSX.V; GATGF:OTCMKTS) announced in a news release it appointed Peter Dickie as a director and Peter Damouni as the board's new chairman.
Dickie and Damouni take the place of Leigh Hughes, who recently resigned.
The new director has more than 35 years of experience in the public and private corporate world, having spent 25 of those holding management positions.
"He has a tremendous track record in project development and corporate affairs, and his experience will be a great asset to Gatling as the Larder gold project continues to advance," President and CEO Nav Dhaliwal said in the release.
Most recently, Dickie was the head of NioCorp Developments, a firm that developed a niobium, scandium and titanium deposit in North America. During his tenure with the company, its market capitalization rose to more than $200 million from less than $5 million.
Prior to that, Dickie was a director and an officer of Lateegra Gold and several other listed companies. He is a former investment advisor with a Canadian Securities dealer, and a graduate of the University of Victoria and the University of British Columbia.
Damouni was a board member before being appointed board chairman.
