The Metals:

Gold chopped between $1264.50 and $1270.50 in Asia before it drifted back lower in London and New York, but it ended with a loss of just 0.35%. Silver slipped to as low as $16.27 and ended with a loss of 0.67%.

Euro gold fell to about EUR1082, platinum lost $9.50 to $864.50, and copper fell 4 cents to about $2.99.

Gold and silver equities dropped throughout the day and ended roughly 1% lower.

The Economy:

The Markets:

Oil ended lower in mixed trade as traders continued to digest the implications of last week's OPEC meeting.

The U.S. dollar index fell and treasuries rose on trade war concerns that sent the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P roughly 2% lower.

Among the big names making news in the market today were Campbell, Harley-Davidson, AT&T, GE, and Venmo.
