The Metals:

Gold fell $10.60 to $1322.80 at about 9:30AM EST before it bounced back higher into the close, but it still ended with a loss of 0.53%. Silver dropped down to $16.181 in Asia, but it then rose to as high as $16.417 in New York and ended with a gain of 0.49%.

Euro gold fell to about EUR1084, platinum lost $5 to $909, and copper climbed 5 cents to about $3.07.

Gold and silver equities traded mostly higher and ended with modest gains.

The Economy:

U.S. jobless claims rise; continuing claims lowest since 1973 Reuters

Tomorrow brings March's jobs data and Consumer Credit.

The Markets:

Oil edged up along with the U.S. dollar index on easing trade war worries that sent treasuries lower and the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P almost 1% higher.

Among the big names making news in the market today were Bombardier, Sonoma Pharmaceuticals, and Facebook.
