The Markets:

Oil pared early losses but still ended nearly 1% lower on continued concerns about Turkey's currency crisis that held the U.S. dollar index steady and left treasuries with most of last week's notable gains.

The Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P turned lower in late morning trade and ended with modest losses on uncertainty about what markets could be impacted next.

Among the big names making news in the market today were Foxconn, Netflix, Tesla, and Bayer.
