It's a HUGE MISS on jobs, so thank goodness the Feds are busy discussing the "creation" of millions of Green New Jobs, even with barely any unemployed people in America!
(by Half Dollar) The Employment Situation Report, commonly called the Jobs Report, has just been released for the month of September, 2021.
It's the most important jobs report, ever, especially as the Bureau of Lying Sadists Labor Statistics crafted the Jobs Report in August as a "huge miss".
Recall that from his last FOMC press conference, Fed Chair Jerome Powell talked in great ambiguity about the significance of this September Jobs Report, and the mainstream stagehands jockeying for a square on Zoom absolutely ate it up.
Also recall that since the last FOMC, however, inflation has been the talk of the thing formerly known as the internet, and everybody in the mainstream, including the wannabe mainstream, has been talking about inflation all week long, so it will interesting to see how pop culture handles talking about the Fed's other so-called "mandate", especially when the jobs reports are rigged to the same corrupt, evil standards as the rigged CPI inflation report.
Either way, this latest Jobs Report should take the focus off of inflation, for about an hour anyway.
Regardless, here's a breakdown of the official job "numbers" for September:
Total employment rose by 194,000 Unemployment rate plunged by 0.4% to 4.8%Labor force participation rate fell slightly to 61.6%Average hourly earnings rose by $0.19 to $30.85 per hourSome first paragraph propaganda from the report (bold added for emphasis and commentary):
Notable job gains occurred in leisure and hospitality, in professional and businessservices, in retail trade, and in transportation and warehousing.
In other words, other than the horrible headline number, September was a goldilocks combination of low paying jobs and high paying jobs, and for those into the "narrative", the "notable gains" in "transportation and warehousing" is thrown in to confuse minimally thinking people about the extent of the shortages and "supply chain disruptions".
Additionally, the BLS claims there were 18,000 jobs lost in healthcare in September (bold added for emphasis and commentary):
Employment in health care changed little in September (-18,000). Job losses occurred in nursing andresidential care facilities (-38,000) and hospitals (-8,000)
Good thing the Federal government is making it so much easier to work in healthcare!
Gold & silver were rising all morning and then were spiked higher when the report hit the tape:
