Gran Colombia 3Q Gold Output Up 54% Year-On-Year
Gran Colombia Gold Corp. (TSX: GCM) third-quarter gold outputtotaled 57,163 ounces, which was up 54% from the same period a year ago, thecompany reports. Gran Colombia also says it still expects to produce between210,000 and 220,000 ounces in 2018. For the first nine months of the year,production was 162,741 ounces, up 33% over the first nine months of 2017. Thisbrings the trailing 12-months production as of Sept. 30 to 214,439 ounces, up23% from 2017 production of 173,821 ounces. “This was not only our fourthconsecutive quarter with over 50,000 ounces of total gold production for thecompany, it was our first quarter producing over 50,000 ounces of gold atSegovia alone,” says Serafino Iacono, executive co-chairman. The company alsooperates the Marmato Mine. Both are in Colombia.

He will oversee the company’s underground mining operations in Mexico. Shakesby is a senior mining executive whobrings to Endeavour over 30 years’ hands-on experience in mining operations,mine planning and project development as well as related executive, technicaland administrative expertise.
