GSI Hires New India Head

RAPAPORT... Ramit Kapur has joined Gemological Science International (GSI) as managing director of its Indian operations, the laboratory announced Tuesday."Our team is made up of leaders from the diamond and jewelry industry, and I am confident that Ramit's enthusiasm, energy, and vast industry knowledge will help GSI achieve continued growth and success," said Debbie Azar, GSI's president and cofounder.Kapur has more than 25 years of experience in the jewelry industry, including almost two decades in the gemological laboratories sector, GSI noted.According to Kapur's LinkedIn profile, he spent almost 17 years as a general manager at the International Gemological Institute (IGI) and later moved to Izarra Diamonds, a lab-grown diamond brand, where he was cofounder and CEO.Image: Ramit Kapur.
