GULF FLAT STEEL IMPORTS: Prices continue to rise, buyers cautious

Flat steel import prices in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia increased over the past week because of globally strong demand, but buyers were holding back in the expectation that prices will soon fall, sources said on Tuesday November 24.

There is a national holiday in the UAE on December 1-3, so working days will be limited next week.

Hot-rolled coil from Indian suppliers was on offer at $620 per tonne cfr, up from $580 per tonne cfr last week.
Buyers were bidding $600 per tonne cfr for Indian HRC.
