The same measures were also imposed in Jeddah, Taif, Qatif and Khobar.
There was also a nightly curfew order in the United Arab Emirates.
The authorities in Dubai announced a lockdown for a period of two weeks starting on April 4, with people only allowed to leave their homes to shop for food or medicines.
