GULF STEEL BILLET, REBAR: Market very slow, domestic rebar prices down

The domestic United Arab Emirates rebar price kept decreasing this week while imported rebar prices were stable, sources said on Tuesday October 27.

Domestic rebar
The country's biggest steel producer, Emirates Steel, continued to offer rebar at 1,936 dirhams ($527) per tonne ex-works for orders due to be produced in October, unchanged since September 15.
Fellow steelmaker Conares Steel also continued to offer rebar at 1,935.27 dirhams per tonne under the same terms.

Deal prices were heard at around 1,790-1,800 dirhams per tonne ex-works, however, down from 1,800-1,850 dirhams...
