GULF STEEL BILLET, REBAR: Rebar prices keep falling, billet price holds

The domestic United Arab Emirates rebar price fell again on Tuesday October 20 after deals concluded at lower levels, while the import price weakened amid a lack of construction demand.

The country's biggest steel producer, Emirates Steel, continued to offer rebar at 1,936 dirhams ($527) per tonne ex-works for orders to be produced in October, stable since September 15.
Fellow steelmaker Conares Steel also continued to offer rebar at 1,935.27 dirhams per tonne under the same terms.

But deals were concluded at around 1,800-1,850 dirhams per tonne ex-works....
