On Tuesday, a challenge against the banning of a political party, the Progressive Socialist Party of Ukraine (PSPU), will come before the Supreme Court in Kiev. The so-called democratic government of Ukraine has banned 16 political parties, in violation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and the Ukrainian Constitution. While NATO officials denounce as a "sham" the referenda in eastern Ukraine, there has been not a peep heard from them about the violent suppression of democracy in Ukraine.
