In March 2014, after an overwhelming vote by Crimeans to leave Ukraine and join Russia - over 90% - U.S. President Obama told Putin this "violates the Ukrainian constitution" and would never be accepted. Didn't the coup in Feb. 2014 his administration orchestrated violate the constitution? This sophistry underlies the escalating demand to "retake" Crimea from Russia, requiring delivery of fighter jets and longer range missiles, at a risk of creating what a British think tank called a "Crimean Cuban Missile Crisis".
