Whether or not the gains made by Ukrainian forces can be sustained is not yet determined. What is clear is that the NATO-backed "counter-offensive" brings us closer to World War III. But this is not about Ukraine. It is about the collapse of the western financial system, backed by NATO - the so-called Rules-Based Order - and the fears of the corporate oligarchs of the City of London and Wall Street who run it that it will be replaced by multilateral financial and trade agreements outside their control. It is time for a New Bretton Woods to replace the present, bankrupt system.
