RAPAPORT... Harrods beauty director Annalise Fard has taken on an expandedrole as head of the London department store's fine watches and jewelrydivision. Fard (pictured) will retain her responsibilities for the beauty segment and alsooversee Harrods' fashion-accessories department, the company said this week. Chiefmerchant Helen David was in charge of that area until she left the group inJune. Fard joined Harrods in 1997 as a senior buyer's clerk forthe company's furniture department. After leaving the company for a while, shereturned in 2007 as director of the home and beauty departments. "I am delighted to be returning to the world of fine watchesand jewelry at Harrods, and to expand my experience in fashion accessories,"Fard said. "This is a hugely exciting time for these divisions at Harrods,following the recent relaunch of fine watches and fine jewelry departments andthe upcoming expansion of the beauty division next year." In July 2017, the retailer announced a plan to double thesize of the retail space available for the fine jewelry and watch department, and add a number of new brands, includingTAG Heuer and Tudor.
