(IDEX Online) - Owners of a family-run jewelry store watched in horror on a smartphone app as raiders emptied display cabinets of goods valued at $1.2m.The break-in at Queens Jewelers was the latest in a string of burglaries at WestGate Mall, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, USA.Four raiders escaped with Cartier and Rolex watches, 35 diamond necklaces, more than 50 diamond bracelets, and men's diamond rings.Nikki Punjwani and her husband received a security alert half an hour after the store closed. "It was very painful," she told the WYFF TV station. "I was on the call with 911 when I could actually see them getting away with all the stuff."She said insurance would cover only the first $225,000 of their $1.2m loss.
