Housing Data, GDP Reading to Hit Next Week

The economic schedule next week is filled with a number of updates out of the housing sector, but the biggest event will be the final reading on fourth-quarter gross domestic product (GDP), which comes out Thursday. A few notable earnings releases are littered about, too, including BlackBerry's (BB) report on Friday.

Below is a brief list of some key market events scheduled for the upcoming week. All earnings dates listed below are tentative and subject to change. Please check with each company's respective website for official reporting dates.

Speeches from Chicago Fed President Charles Evans and Philadelphia Fed President Patrick Harker kick off the week on Monday, March 25. Traders will also be met with the Chicago Fed National Activity Index and Dallas Fed manufacturing survey. For earnings, Cheetah Mobile (CMCM), Red Hat (RHT), and Winnebago (WGO) will report.

On Tuesday, March 26, Harker will talk again, as will Boston Fed President Eric Rosengren. The economic schedule also features the S&P Corelogic Case-Shiller home price index, housing starts, the FHFA home price index, and consumer confidence. Earnings from Carnival (CCL), Conn's (CONN), Cronos (CRON), KB Home (KBH), Ollie's Bargain Outlet (OLLI), and Shoe Carnival (SCVL) are due out.

The docket on Wednesday, March 27, has international trade data and the weekly crude inventory report. Meanwhile, Five Below (FIVE), Lennar (LEN), Lululemon Athletica (LULU), Paychex (PAYX), and PVH (PVH) will report earnings.

Thursday, March 28, will have the GDP reading, jobless claims, pending home sales, all come out, as well as the Fed's balance sheet, and speeches from Atlanta Fed President Raphael Bostic and St. Louis Fed President James Bullard. Earnings releases are due from Accenture (ACN).

And then on Friday, March 29, personal income and outlays, Chicago purchasing managers manufacturing index (PMI), new home sales, and consumer sentiment all come out. BB and CarxMax (KMX) will round out the earnings reports.
