Yukon was ranked 9th in the world by the Fraser Institute for "investment attractiveness" in 2018, and according to Ranj Pillai, Deputy Premier and Minister Of Energy, Mines and Resources of Yukon, much of the strides made can be attributed to government policies.
"Yukon has done a good job of telling its story, nationally and internationally, and we continue to support those initiatives. From a policy development and a policy focus, it's really been about government to government relations with our indigenous governments," Pillai told Kitco News on the sidelines of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada convention in Toronto.
