Vancouver-based IDM Mining reports it has discovered a new zone - Lacasse - at its Red Mountain gold project 15 km east of Stewart. Underground drilling also targeted multiple zones for resource expansion, conversion and further exploration.

The Lacasse zone occurs in the hanging wall of the AV zone, and it appears to be at an oblique angle to the major mineralized zones at Red Mountain. It is named after 2018 program manager Marilyne Lacasse. Underground drilling also targeted multiple zones for resource expansion, conversion and further exploration

Hole U18-1361 returned one of the highest grade drill holes ever completed at Red Mountain. The hole returned 65.13 g/t gold and 313.09 g/t silver over 9.82 metres. There was a higher grade interval of 1.74 metres that assayed 277.06 g/t gold and 1,442.02 g/t silver.

Hole U18-1361 also intersected the AV zone and returned 69.0 meters averaging 3.76 g/t gold and 21.60 g/t silver, including 18.5 meters averaging 9.07 g/t gold and 24.18 g/t silver.

Hole U18-1358 also cut the Lacasse zone and returned two intercepts, including 4.0 metres at 11.27 g/t gold and 24.03 g/t silver.

IDM and Ascot Resources recently entered into a definitive arrangement agreement whereby Ascot will acquire all of IDM's common shares.
