INDIA STEEL SCRAP: Prices continue to move up

The price of shredded scrap imported into India moved up on Friday October 23 on a rise in the international market and tight material availability, sources told Fastmarkets.

Fastmarkets calculated the steel scrap, shredded, index, import, cfr Nhava Sheva, India at $316.16 per tonne on Friday, up from $308.62 per tonne a week ago.
Deals heard this week ranged from $315 to $316 per tonne, compared with deals at $305-307 per tonne last week. Offers were in the range of $315-320 per tonne, up from $305-315 per tonne last week.
