Indian domestic steel billet prices up $5 on rise in raw material costs

Indian domestic prices for secondary steel billet have gone up by 400 rupees ($5) per tonne week on week following rises in the costs of raw materials such as direct-reduced iron (DRI).

The price of steel billet, domestic, exw India, was assessed by Fastmarkets on Friday October 9 at 29,700-29,900 rupees ($403-406) per tonne, compared with 29,300-29,500 rupees per tonne last week.
