Indian mills raise domestic HRC prices by $14/t for February sales

Indian flat steel producers increased domestic hot-rolled coil (HRC) prices by 1,000 rupees ($14) per tonne at the start of this week to factor in the higher prices of the commodity in the international market and rising raw materials costs.

The price increase of 1,000 rupees per tonne for sales in the second half of February takes Fastmarkets' domestic HRC price to 40,500-41,000 rupees per tonne ex-mill on Friday February 22, compared with 39,500-40,000 rupees per tonne ex-mill assessed by Fastmarkets MB in the...
