Indian secondary billet prices up $13 per tonne on raw materials costs

Indian domestic prices for secondary steel billet increased by 1,000 rupees ($13) per tonne in the week to Friday November 20, on a continued rise in the price of direct-reduced iron (DRI) and steady demand for semi-finished steel materials from finished product makers.

The price of steel billet, domestic, exw India, was assessed by Fastmarkets on November 20 to be up by 1,000 rupees per tonne to 35,200-35,400 rupees ($474-477) per tonne, compared with last week's assessment of 34,200-34,400 rupees per tonne.
