Italian flat steel re-rollers resume operations after Covid-19 shutdown, sources say

Italian flat steel re-rollers have resumed their operations after the stoppages requested by authorities to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, market sources told Fastmarkets on Wednesday April 15.

On March 21, the Italian government ordered the closure until April 3 of all non-essential production operations in the country, including steelmaking, as part of the measures to battle the pandemic.
Plate re-roller Metinvest Trametal resumed production at the end of last week, market sources said.
