JBT Makes New President's Position Official

RAPAPORT... The Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT) has appointed RichardWeisenfeld as president, the industry group said Friday.  Weisenfeld (pictured), who previously held executive positions at RivaPrecision Manufacturing, as well as at Pranda North America, has been actingpresident since Anthony Capuano retired in February. He has served on the JBT boardfor 17 years, and was chairman from 2014 to 2015. He will also serve astreasurer.  Additionally, the JBT has elected a new board, to be led byMichael Kaplan, who will replace Todd Wolleman as chairman. Kaplan waspreviously first vice chairman of the board. Ann Arnold of Buyers International Group in California hasbeen elected first vice chairman, while Richard Katz of New York's RichlineGroup will be second vice chairman. Brenda Pimentel will continue as secretary of the tradegroup.
