JBT Makes President's Post Official

RAPAPORT... The Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT) has appointed RichardWeisenfeld as president, the industry group said Friday.  Weisenfeld (pictured), who previously held executive positions at RivaPrecision Manufacturing, as well as at Pranda North America, has been actingpresident since Anthony Capuano retired in February. He has served on the JBT boardfor 17 years, and was chairman from 2014 to 2015. He will also serve astreasurer.  Additionally, the JBT has elected a new board, to be led byMichael Kaplan, who will replace Todd Wolleman as chairman. Kaplan waspreviously first vice chairman of the board. Ann Arnold of Buyers International Group in California hasbeen elected first vice chairman, while Richard Katz of New York's RichlineGroup will be second vice chairman. Brenda Pimentel will continue as secretary of the tradegroup. The following people have been newly elected to the JBT boardfor a two-year term: Keven Peck of Color Merchants, New York Jeffrey Sarfaty of ABN Amro Capital USA, New YorkThe following people have been reelected to the JBT boardfor a two-year term: Ira Bergman of The Gordon Company, FloridaDavid Bonney of Lux Bond & Green Inc., ConnecticutEdward DeCristofaro of LDC Inc., Rhode IslandRoderick Lichtenfels of W.R.
