Retailers will continue to be in focus next week, as quarterly earnings reports keep rolling in. Among the higher-profile names set to report are Ascena Retail Group Inc (NASDAQ:ASNA), American Eagle Outfitters (NYSE:AEO), and AutoZone, Inc. (NYSE;AZO). However, a busy week of employment data will likely hold the bulk of Wall Street's interest, culminating in Friday's November jobs report. This marks the last key update on the labor market ahead of the Fed's December meeting, in which the central bank is highly expected to announce a rate hike.

Below is a brief list of some key market events scheduled for the upcoming week. All earnings dates listed below are tentative and subject to change. Please check with each company's respective website for official reporting dates.

Factory orders will be released on Monday, Dec. 4. Ascena Retail (ASNA) and Dave & Buster's Entertainment (PLAY) will report earnings.

International trade data, Markit's services purchasing managers index (PMI), and the Institute for Supply Management's non-manufacturing index are due on Tuesday, Dec. 5. AeroVironment (AVAV), AutoZone (AZO), Francesca's (FRAN), G-III Apparel (GIII), Lands' End (LE), RH (RH), and Toll Brothers (TOL) will step into the earnings confessional.

Jobs data starts to roll in on Wednesday, Dec. 6, with the release of ADP's private payrolls report and labor and productivity costs. The weekly crude inventories report will also be released. Earnings from American Eagle Outfitters (AEO), Broadcom (AVGO), Fred's (FRED), H&R Block (HRB), Ollie's Bargain Outlet (OLLI), and Vera Bradley (VRA) are due.

Weekly jobless claims are the lone economic report on Thursday, Dec. 7. American Outdoor Brands (AOBC), Ciena (CIEN), Dollar General (DG), Finisar (FNSR), JinkoSolar (JKS), United Natural Foods (UNFI), and Vail Resorts (MTN) will step up to the earnings plate.

The Labor Department's nonfarm payrolls report will hit first thing on Friday, Dec. 8, while the University of Michigan's consumer sentiment survey and wholesale trade data are also due. There are no notable earnings reports slated for release.
